How to Use the Gainers & Losers Tab

The Gainers & Losers tab shows the top 25 biggest daily movers in both directions, each tagged with a Leadership Score so you can instantly see whether today's big move is from a market leader or a low-quality name.

Use it as a discovery tool

A gainer with a high Leadership Score in a leading sector is worth adding to your Charting watchlist for follow-up. A gainer with a low score in a weak sector is likely a one-day event.

Database join computation and the $3 + 100k filter

Movers are computed by joining today's OHLCV data against yesterday's in the database — the same data used for breadth computations, with the same filters applied. A stock must have previous close > $3 and average daily volume ≥ 100,000 shares to appear. This eliminates penny-stock noise and ensures only liquid, institutional-grade names are shown.

Daily scan routine

  1. Check the Breadth tab first — expanding breadth raises follow-through probability for every gainer.
  2. Filter gainers by Leadership Score ≥ 60. Ignore low-score movers.
  3. Cross-reference with Leaders — is the gainer in a top-ranked sector?
  4. Open the Charting tab for candidates that pass the above.
